  • DOE

‘FOX ACRES PM BELLS LIL LUNA’

Luna is a sweet doe that is a great milk producer and would be awesome for someone who has a homestead. She’s available due to us changing our focus for our herd to showing and linear appraisal. She could use a stronger udder attachment and large orifices when looking at that. You can hand milk or use the machine and she does great. If she stays she will be started on milk test.

    $400

  • DOE

    ‘FOX ACRES AD GOLDEN HAZEL’

Hazel is a super sweet doe that we bottle raised so she loves attention and the kids. Great mother, currently caring for triplets and very easy to kid out. She’s available due to our daughter wanting to start her own MiniNubian herd. Hazel could use better udder attachments and larger orifices but you can hand or machine milk her and she stands great.

    $400

Callie is a 2 year old dry doe that is more on the shy side but loves animal crackers and will come right up to you. We are focusing on our herd toward showing and linear appraisal and Callie could use more strength in her form she is a more narrow styled doe.

Purchase Agreement

Please read all info.

We strive to fit the right animal with the right home so be sure to let us know what you are looking for. Herd health and proper management is very important to us. All animals over 6 months of age are tested for CAE, CL, & Johnes annually. Mature goats are given a selection of free choice minerals and alfalfa/grass mix hay along with supplements of grain. Kids are raised on colostrum from moms and then pasteurized goat milk. All kids sold will have received their CDT vaccine, be disbudded and tattooed. Coccidiosis preventative is started at 72 hours old in the form of Calf-pro 1x per day until weaning. Mature goats may also be available please contact us if you are interested in an older goat.

Deposits on Goats

Deposits on live and mature animals will hold that animal until pick-up within 14 days or otherwise discussed time. Sending a deposit on a live animal is your guarantee that you will buy that animal at the agreed upon price quoted within this timeframe specified.  Deposits on live animals offered for sale are accepted at $50 per animal.  Once a deposit is placed on a live animal, the goat must be picked up in 14 days or by an agreed upon date or the animal may be offered for sale again. Deposits can be transferred to another animal, but all monies paid on cancelled orders are NOT refunded. Refunds will only be offered should something happen to the goat before leaving the farm.

Payments Accepted

Cash or money orders (payable to Seven E Acres) and Venmo without purchases option selected are accepted. Venmo (with purchases option selected), PayPal (SevenEAcres@gmail.com) and Square Invoices are accepted with an additional 5% convenience fee. Please indicate what the payment is for and include contact information if sending money from an unfamiliar name/email address. I will hold all registration papers until money orders clear the bank. Balance needs to be paid in full at time of pickup or animal will not be allowed to leave.

Registration Papers

We will provide ADGA registration papers for any goat purchased if selling as a registered animal. It is up to the goats' new owners to purchase membership and transfer papers to their herd. Seven E Acres will not be responsible for transfer goats to new owners and will not be responsible for lost papers given to new owners at time of pickup.

Taking your goat home

We encourage you to pick your goat up at the farm so that you may view the goat, however this must be done by appointment only because of our work and time commitments.  We realize this may not always be possible so limited delivery can be arranged with additional transport and care costs.

Kids can leave the farm at 12 weeks of age. If you have knowledge or experience with bottles, we will allow a healthy kid to leave earlier. Kids must be picked up within 14 days of weaning or you will surrender your deposit and the animal will be re-posted for sale.

If for any reason, you wish to get rid of your animals, please consider informing us so we may look into purchasing back or just so we can follow our progeny.

Kid Reservations & Care

In order to reserve your choice of kid, we require you email us the exact breeding or general want (“2 wethers from any breeding”, for example). We will also want your contact info, name, location, and herd name if possible.

The breeding list will be updated as quickly as possible with who is being bred to whom and when. Please remember that these dates are estimates and we will update people with dates, pictures and messages when we can.

Once kids are born, those on the reservation list will be contacted to discuss purchase. At this time, should you decide to move forward, a non-refundable deposit of 50% down is required to hold your kid. If it is not received within 48 hours of verbal agreement, we will move onto the next name on the reservation list.

Seven E Acres may also retain any kids above any reservations or change our minds on animals for sale for any reason. We will be transparent in that and notify you when we are sure of the kid that will be yours.

All of Seven E Acres kids are removed from the dam 1 week after kidding to place them directly in our care, under closer supervision, and growing a bond with humans. Kids are given colostrum from moms and bottle fed with pasteurized goat milk. Kids will be started on Calf Pro 1x per day at 72 hours.

You will be given a "goody bag" of some feed that the animal eats, a tube of Calf Pro to continue (if leaving prior to 12 weeks), paperwork, basic guide, supplies for next vaccination or medication if needed, nipple for feeding, etc.

We do our best to ensure we raise healthy, strong kids and will only let kids leave with a clean bill of health - but once the kid leaves our farm, we can no longer be responsible for it’s health. You are always welcome to reach out with questions or for advice.

We vaccinate for CD&T. All of our kids are disbudded around one week of age. All kids will be tattoed before they leave.

If you purchase a wether, the deed will be done around 10-12 weeks of age before they leave the farm.

We will NOT sell non-registered buck kids. We will be very particular in selling registered bucklings, for the integrity of breed improvement. We reserve naming rights for all kids, as to carry the Seven E Acres herd name and our preferred registered name with input from you on name. You may use any “barn” name you prefer if the one we choose isn’t your style.

4H & FFA

$50 discount for youth. Youth must provide proof that they are already actively showing goats in FFA or 4-H. The discount will not apply if the youth "wants to begin showing". Unfortunately, many youth end up not pursuing goats after trying them or the parents take on roles as owners/caregivers. Our policy is to protect the animal and ensure the youth is already committed to the goats.
